15 Facts You Didn't Know About Elon Musk

Elon Musk really needs no introduction. One of the world’s most recognised business leaders and visionaries, Elon has built a brand for himself that would have most celebrities and businesses turning green with envy. Elon Musk is known for founding Tesla Motors and SpaceX, which launched a landmark commercial spacecraft in 2012.

There is a lot to be learned from him, I'll will tell you some facts about him. Let's Start.

1. In 1983, at the age of 12, Musk sold a simple game called Blastar to a computer magazine for $500.

2. While studying at the University of Pennsylvania, Musk and his fellow student rented out a 10 bedroom flat house and turned it into an official nightclub. It was an early entrepreneurial experiment.

3. A notorious workaholic , Musk doesn't spend cash on lavish vacations or expensive hobbies. Instead, the entrepreneur spends most of his time at the office or in factories, retreating to one of his four Los Angeles mansions at the end of the day.

4. Musk graduated with a bachelor's degree in physics and an economics degree from the Wharton School and moved to Stanford to pursue his PhD.

5. He founded Zip2 - a web software company  which later transformer into PayPal. There is Space X which mission is to enable people to live on other planets and Tesla to accelerate the advent of sustainable transport.

6. Musk created the Hyperloop concept which would allow travel 600 km in 30 minutes.

7. Created OpenAI, a non-profit AI research organization to develop a safe AI that is beneficial and safe for humanity.

8. He is chairman of the board for SolarCity, a company founded by his cousins that is now one of the largest solar panel production system in the United States.

9. Elon Musk purchased James Bonds Lotus Espirit submarine Car for $1 million dollars and plans to convert it into an actual functional submarine car.

10. He was the 21st most influential person in the year 2016, according to Forbes Magazine.

11. Elon Musk wanted Tesla's Model line up to  spell S-E-X-Y: Model S, Model E, Model X, Model Y. However, Ford owns the term Model E, so Tesla opted for Model 3 to spell S-3-X-Y.

12. Like Steve Jobs and other famous entrepreneurs, Musk's official annual salary for Tesla Motors is just $1.

13. He is big Star Wars fan, his Falcon rockets are named after the movie franchise's Millennium Falcon.

14. After SpaceX, Tesla, Hyperloop and The Boring Comapny, Musk also has plans to build a vertical take-off and landing supersonic jet aircraft with electric fan propulsion, known as the Musk Electric Jet.

15. Elon's promise is to send humanity to Mars.
